Les Prix Alizés, présentés par Financement Agricole Canada (FAC), célèbrent des entreprises canadiennes de transformation alimentaire qui se démarquent sur les marchés canadiens et internationaux. Parmi dix finalistes, les quatre organisations lauréates seront dévoilées ce soir à la Soirée des Alizés, une initiative du Groupe Export agroalimentaire qui se tient en marge du SIAL Canada.
Les entreprises finalistes se sont distinguées par leur succès sur différents marchés ainsi que par l’originalité de leurs tactiques promotionnelles. « C’est une grande fierté de voir ces entreprises rayonner à l’international », déclare le président du jury des Prix Alizés, Louis Turcotte, vice-président national, Financement corporatif et comptes d’envergure chez FAC. Cette année, un nouveau critère s’est ajouté à l’évaluation : la capacité à gérer les risques. « Dans un contexte économique marqué par l’incertitude, le jury a accordé une valeur importante à cet aspect en plus des critères habituels », souligne Éric Waterman, vice-président agroalimentaire chez Inno-centre.
Cinq autres membres de l’industrie agroalimentaire ont également participé à la délibération du jury : Benoît Tétrault, directeur, placements privés et investissements d’impact agroalimentaire, biens de consommation et santé, Fonds de solidarité FTQ ; Annie Lévesque, directrice relationnelle principale, Exportation et développement Canada ; Michel Sirois, vice-président associé, secteur agroalimentaire, Banque Nationale ; Pascale Daigneault, agente principale de développement de l’industrie, Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada (Québec et Nunavut) ; ainsi que Martin Lemire, vice-président chez Edikom.

Alizés Awards: Winners unveiled tonight
The Alizés Awards, presented by Farm Credit Canada (FCC), celebrate Canadian food processing companies that are making their mark on domestic and international markets. From among the ten finalists, the four winning organisations will be announced this evening at the Soirée des Alizés, an initiative of the Export Group Agri-Food held alongside SIAL Canada.
The finalists have distinguished themselves through their success across various markets, as well as by the originality of their promotional strategies. “It is a great source of pride to see these companies shine on the international stage,” says Louis Turcotte, Chair of the Alizés Awards jury and National Vice-President, Corporate Financing and Large Accounts at FCC. This year, a new factor was added to the evaluation criteria: risk management. “In an economic climate marked by uncertainty, the jury placed significant value on this aspect in addition to the usual criteria,” emphasizes Éric Waterman, Vice-President of Agri-Food at Inno-centre.
Five other members of the agri-food industry also participated in the jury’s deliberations: Benoit Tétrault, Director, Private Equity and Impact Investing, Agri-food, Consumer Goods and Health, Fonds de solidarité FTQ; Annie Lévesque, Senior Relationship Manager, Export Development Canada; Michel Sirois, Vice-President of Agri-Food, National Bank of Canada; Pascale Daigneault, Senior Industry Development Officer, Departmental Regional Office (Quebec and Nunavut), Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada; and Martin Lemire, Vice-President at Edikom.
